Dome, Msida Parish Church - 2007
Works carried out on the dome at Msida Parish Church consisted of the restoration of masonry fabric and timber apertures. The plastic compound paint that was present on the roof was stripped to expose the deffun layer. This was repaired using suitable grouting and treated with a biocide to eliminate all biological growth and prevent re-growth. Deteriorated masonry sections were cleaned of flaking fragments and loose particles and finished to the correct profile using plastic repair techniques with the incorporation of stainless steel dowels.
