Detached Bungalow, Dingli - 2010
The proposed bungalow sits on 2,400 sq. m of land on the outskirts of Dingli, a rural Maltese town. The small building is partly set into the land to retain a low profile. A single thick wall in traditional construction runs along the middle of the building acting as a spine that visually integrates the new building with its surroundings while physically screening the more private areas of the dwelling. Stepped landscaping follows the existing topography while imitating typical terraced fields in the area.
