Simar Nature Reserve - 2008
The proposed interventions are necessary to render the Natura 2000 site accessible in order to be enjoyed by many more visitors. The sensitive conditions of the site called for greater attention to materiality and to the way in which the new walkways meet the protected marshland. The proposed trail attempts to follow existing topography in a curvilinear manner. Minor alterations to the existing observatory and watchman's room are also necessary to allow for accessibility throughout the site.
