Urban Rehabilitation and Public Buildings
Urban rehabilitation is primarily the act of revitalizing a derelict or decaying urban area. The rehabilitation may be in terms of economic vitality, safety or even the conservation of a culturally important urban area. Urban rehabilitated sites in conjunction with public buildings are critical to the long-term vitality of the locals living in the area. Without such urban rehabilitation, there would be little incentive for developers to invest in the area, leaving it in a deteriorating state.
