The Team

  • Claude Busuttil, director of ARCstudio Ltd, is an Architect and Civil Engineer. He is also a part-time assistant lecturer at the Department of the Built Heritage within the Faculty for the Built Environment at the University of Malta. He obtained a Bachelors and Masters Degree in History of Architecture and Restoration of Monuments from the University of Florence (Italy) in 1998. He has previously worked on restoration and conservation projects, interior design and project management for government, ecclesiastical and private entities. He was the Executive Secretary of St. John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation between 2004 and 2007. He is currently reading for a doctorate degree at the University of Sorbonne – Paris IV. Claude is President of ICOMOS (Malta). 

  • Martino Nociforo is an Italian Architect, who graduated in 2006 from the Universita’ degli studi di Catania, Facolta’ di Architettura with Distinction. In 2007 Martino was a tutor for a Masters course in Restoration works at the same University. Martino practised architecture with a Sicilian architectural firm for a number of years. Martino carried out extensive research in museum design with special interest in the Sir John Soane Museum, London. Martino's field of expertise is interior design and project management. He is also interested in the theatrical arts, particularly costume and stage design.

  • M. Roberta Galea graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2009. She attained the warrant of Architect and Civil Engineer (Perit) in 2011. In 2011, Roberta obtained an M.Sc in Conservation Technology for Masonry Buildings at the Department of the Built Heritage, Faculty for the Built Environment at the University of Malta. She is currently reading for a Masters degree in Environmental Design of Buildings at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University. Roberta is also a Certified Energy Performance Assessor for non-dwellings and a committee member of ICOMOS (Malta).

  • Stephen Micallef graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2009. He attained the warrant of Architect and Civil Engineer (Perit) in 2011. In 2012 he obtained a Masters Degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Edinburgh. Stephen is also a Certified Energy Performance Assessor for non-dwellings.

  • Ian Turban graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2011. He attained the warrant of Architect and Civil Engineer (Perit) in 2013. Ian is currently reading a Masters degree in Environmental Design at the Department of Environmental Design, Faculty for the Built Environment at the University of Malta.

  • Godwin Cassar successfully concluded his BTEC Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment at the Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). He also possesses the Journeyman's Certificate as a Construction Technical - Design. He plays a key role within the firm, whilst keeping an eye on most of the projects Godwin provides technical assistance to all at the firm. Godwin is well read with all the MEPA policies and makes it his duty to update himself with the latest legal notices.

  • Pablo Cachia Belli successfully concluded his Higher National Diploma in Business Management at the Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST).  Pablo plays a key role within the firm, taking care of the firm’s administration, accounts and daily occurrences. Pablo is also a committee member of the Bormla Local Council.
